The Lower Providence Optimist Club gives back to the community by serving dinner to the Forteniters of
Norristown in the Winter each year. We are proud to support the less needed children and adults by providing a hot meal and fellowship.
Each Summer our Club Members partner with the Lower Providence Police Department in our Bike Safety Program. The children are taught to follow the rules of the road, to wear a helmet. Their tire pressure and bikes are checked for overall safety.

During the Christmas Holidays, the club volunteers at the Laurel House, dressing like Santa's Elves! Mr. and Mrs. Claus are present too! We help distribute gifts to the children.
The Saturday, before Father's Day, the club volunteers to help The Stoney Creek Anglers with their Fishing Derby held at Hoy Park. We provide light snacks and help measure the fish as the children catch them. It's a rewarding event watching some of our local children fish for the first time.
